Darby, from surrender to placement in one giant leap

Rescue coordinator: Linda Grisley

Darby is an 11 yr old spayed female from British Columbia. She was born and bred in Edmonton and adopted to a couple who unfortunately separated. She went to live with a new, single female owner who loved her to bits. However, the owner had to go back to work and Darby got separation anxiety. Her barking bothered neighbours and some negotiation was required so that she could stay in the home. Fast forward another couple of years and the owner's sister and child moved in. Darby and the young child were not a good mix and after trying hard for almost a year to keep them separated and the home content, the owner asked the Foundation to please help find Darby a home where she could relax and be happy for the remainder of her life. Darby has moved back to Edmonton where she is now in a home with a yard to run in and two large dogs to play with. She's only been here two days, but she is settling in nicely and enjoying her new life. She is amazingly spry for an elderly dog and is a typical mischievous Kerry Blue.
