Have you ever been to a kerry class at a dog show, or watched one on TV? For kerry owners who don’t show their dogs, and for whom the dog show world is a mystery, the Internet can be a great way to see how the professionals show off our breed. For example, go to youtube.com and search on “kerry blue terrier dog show.” The kerries are stunning, and since many of us rarely see a kerry other than our own, it’s a lot of fun to see a group of kerries all together. But, if your pet kerry, snoring on the couch oblivious to her mediocre haircut and with her eyes closed, rather than “keen,” does not look quite like a show kerry, well, never mind. Even the supermodels fall asleep on the couch sometimes.

And here is Gracie Arkoff, nine minutes after her $85 haircut. We stopped off at a park on the way home from the groomer’s to let Gracie have a break, and she got distracted while going for a drink and fell into the pond. We’re not sure she’s really the same breed of dog as the stunning Mick…..
