Bella needs to have drops put in her eyes for dry eye and must take pills several times a day for anxiety.
Ideal home would be one where someone is home most of the time. Someone retired or someone who works from home and who would have a little time to enjoy having this small lady cuddle up in his or her lap would be perfect!
Other Dogs: Yes
Has lived with two other dogs. She tries to be the dominant bitch but as she has only three teeth, she is all bark and no bite!
No experience with Bella and cats.
Since she had her teeth removed and the pain that they were causing her taken away, Bella has not had an opportunity to be evaluated around young children but loves the teenage daughter of the trainer where she currently living. In her initial rehome before her surgery, she did not like the young children and is reported to have nipped at them when they came close. This could well have been because of the pain she was in and the stress of going from her home into a shelter, then in a clinic, and finally in a large kennel environment. However as we have not evaluated her in a setting with younger children, we are recommending that Bella live in a home with no children or with older teenage children. She would be best placed in a home where someone is home most of the time, either someone retired or who works out of their home.
January 24, 2019 Update
Bella has found a wonderful loving home where she is sometimes goes to sleep with a lullaby while being rocked in the arms of new “dad”. Congratulations to Bella and her new family. We will look forward to updates on Bella on the KBTF website and in the KBT Den.
If you can't adopt, please consider becoming a Kerry Angel.
