Has never been to an obedience class.
July 12, 2016 Update
Lady's owner was an 86 year young person who could no longer take care of her due to health concerns. Lady has never been to an obedience class or had a teeth cleaning. She hasn't been walked/exercised in the last year. Lady was released to the KBTF on 7/4/16, where she was picked up from previous owner's home in CA and transported to NV, where she is being fostered and assessed.
Lady seems to be very happy and loving, constantly wagging her tail. She also is a snuggler and thinks she is a lap dog. She took to the male foster parent right away. She can be stubborn at times, as all Kerrys are but nothing that can't be overcome in obedience classes. She is also fearful of loud noises. She has nipped at people in the past but it was when someone came uninvited on to the property.
Healthy and current on vaccines. She has been great on a leash, when running or walking. Lady is not reactive on leash to other dogs or bicycles.
There were a couple issues between Lady and the resident male Kerry in the foster family. She was constantly "bugging" him for attention. They seem to have worked it out and now play together.
Lady has not been around children so it is unknown how she would get along.
July 31, 2016 Update
Very often, a person who fosters a Kerry, falls in love with it. This is what happened to our Rescue Coordinators in Nevada, Matt & Sue Buehler. Lady was adopted by her rescuers. A lucky lady indeed!
April 23, 2017 Update
We have decided to put her back on the adoption page. she is a very sweet girl but "scares" the resident male dog with her separation anxiety. She barks and pull cushions off the couch and can't be trusted home alone. We feel that the best home for her would be a couple who don't have small children or other dogs.
June 15, 2017 Update
After alot of consideration on several applications for Lady, we placed her in a furever home in Colorado. She was adopted by a gentleman who is able to provide a single dog home and is able to give her continuous attention. She accompanies him to work every day and the office staff showers her with love and attention. When we last spoke with him, she was the hit at a wine tasting party. Lady is lucky indeed!
