After months of dental work, Miss Bella is ready for a new life and opportunity!
Bella may be 10 years old, but that just means she has had lots of time to affirm her kerry spunkiness. She has only three teeth left but she still sees herself as an alpha kerry -- albeit it is truly all bark and no bite in her case! She has some anxiety issues and dry-eye but these are both well controlled with daily eye drops and medication which must be given several times a day. She has lived happily with several other dogs, does well at dog parks, is very accepting of grooming, likes to cuddle in human laps, and walks well. When she is on her medication, she is a complete love.
In her initial rehome before her surgery, she did not like the young children and nipped at them when they come close. Although this could well have been because of the pain she was in from her teeth, which is now no longer an issues, nonetheless we are recommending that Bella live in a home with no children or with older teenage children. Bella loves the teenage daughter of the trainer where she currently living. She would be best placed in a home where someone is home most of the time, either someone retired or who works out of their home. Bella is described by Sandra Scott, her Rescue Coordinator, as 10 years old going on four!
