Sadie, A young Kerry female
Rescue Coordinator: Liz Schnitzspahn
Fostered in Ohio
A young Kerry puppy was passed off to a wonderful Kerry rescuer on a dark cold night in a parking lot. The foster was asked to take care of her until we could evaluate her and give her enough time before being spaded. Of course, this ended up meaning housebreaking, training and putting up with the antics of a young and feisty Kerry. It was a big job indeed.
When it came time to being spayed, the vet found a large growth in her intestine that was causing almost a complete blockage. After a major operation and much finger biting, waiting for test results from the lab, we found out the tumor was benign and she would be ok. Whew…what a relief.
Sadie is a sweet girl and full of feisty fun. The fosters, who put in many, many hours of taking care of Sadie and going through a life and death situation with her, found they just could not give her up.
Miss Sadie got very very lucky when she came into Foundation rescue. With the time, money and care she received after being turned over to the Foundation, she will end up having a wonderful life….something that every Kerry deserves.
Sadie was adopted by her foster family and lives in Ohio. Here is a picture of Sadie and her new brother, Tucker.
