2013 Rescue Kerries Placed: Thea

Rescue Write-Up

Sometimes a Kerry comes into rescue through changes in one family's life but brings wonderful changes to another family. Thea, at almost nine years of age, found herself in a Foundation rescue/rehoming situation.

It was a concern for us because many people specify a young Kerry only on the adoption application. Having gone through the "age-block" with previous rescues, we were prepared to foster for quite awhile which just makes it harder for the dog.

To our delight and Thea's good luck, she found a wonderful family in just a few days. Thea is one very cute Kerry girl who has taken over her new home with style. Her new family reports that Thea is very smart and adjusting well. Referred to as a princess, she's even slipping into her new snow boots with ease.

We are grateful that her original owner reached out to the Foundation to place her and thrilled that Thea is doing so very well in her new home.
