Rescue Coordinator: Lynn Mathers
Hi. My name is Fergus and I am 5 years old. I am an owner surrender as there is a new baby in the home and remodeling going on and it just got to much for me. My dad had decided I need a home with an older couple with either one other dog (girl) or I would be happy as an only family member. I lived with a Kerry girl who died recently from Addisons Disease and I have been mourning for some time.
One day, a boy was riding his motorized scooter back and forth in front of our house gunning his engine and I wouldn't stop barking. When the screen door was open I got out and nipped the pant on the boy and got in trouble even though the boy didn't get hurt or anything. He did stop riding in front of our house though!
I got along with the new baby but my new mom doesn't think it would be a good idea for me to be around small children. That's why I was looking for a new home with adults only.
My rescue coordinatory has found a new home for me in Canada not far from where I live now so I now get to learn how to speak Canadian! I leave for my new home next Thursday (June10) and will start a new life with lots of new toys (tennis balls are my favorite!) and coats, (it gets cold in Canada in the winter).
These pictures show me in my summer cut (hopefully it won't be to cold when I get to Calgary. Anyway I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate what the Foundation has done for me in finding a new home really fast. My new owners had 2 Kerries before me and they know just what kind of a little terrier I can be.
Thanks Kerry Rescue!
