Rescue Coordinator: Linda Grisley
Lucy has just turned 6 years old this month. She is a beautiful healthy female of good breeding in Ontario, Canada. She got half her points to her championship before she became a spayed family pet. Her owners have returned her to the breeder because they have moved. She is very people friendly and happy dog. She is a counter surfer. She gets along well with kids but needs to live in a home where the children are older and understand the responsibilities of a pet. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots. She's cooperates for a bath and grooming but she just hates having her tail trimmed. She will come with CKC papers.
Lucy gets along well with larger dogs but her Kerry prey drive is evident with smaller ones. She had opportunity previously to run loose, so a home with structure and expectation of manners would benefit her. She has recently learned to wait at the door and for permission to eat her food, so she is smart and willing to learn. She is crate trained and quiet in her crate, comes when called, sits, lays down, fetches a ball. She has a lovely coat and is still very dark coloured but isn't black. Lucy is ready to move into a new home as long as she's never let off a leash and no small dogs or cats in the home. She is a typical Kerry other than her bark....it's pretty squeaky girly sounding even for a Kerry!
