2007 October Rescue

© 2016 Kerry Blue Terrier Foundation

Last fall (October 2007) we did a rescue of a litter of 6 month old pups from somewhere in the mid-west. I know that we never got them written up for the list or the website and that none of you have heard about them until now. There were two girls and four boys. Of the six one is Bonnie who nows resides with her family in Utah, fostered by Danielle & Bryan Monroy, Bonnie came out of her shyness pretty quickly and did well. Some of the others were much harder.

Two of the boys came here to me in northern California and I was fortunate to have willing and loving foster homes for them both. These boys were afraid of everything. They came out of their crates at the airport bellies to the ground and ready to crawl away from us as quickly as they could. As the weeks in foster care progressed they presented pictures of a dog that was happy to sit on your lap in your arms for hours at a time, but as soon as you stood up they fled and wouldn't come near again. It has taken time and patience for these boys to improve.
