Eleventh Annual
Kerry Blue Greeting Card Contest

Closing December 25, 2008

 

 

Submission Rules (same as last year):

  • Contest closing: December 25, 2008
  • Pictures or drawings must have a seasonal theme, not necessarily "Christmas"
  • The card must feature a Kerry
  • Previously submitted entries cannot be accepted
  • Only one entry per person
  • By submitting your card, you allow the Foundation to
    • display the card, without limitations
    • publish your work as a Holiday card
  • Animated cards will not be part of the competition, but will be displayed on a special page.

If you wish, you can submit a small greeting to be displayed with your card.

Send your submission as soon as possible. The cards will go on display starting November 28, 2008, the Friday after US Thanksgiving.

Picture Specifications

Email your picture in one of the following formats: Photoshop, JPEG of GIF. Please scan in a resolution of 300 DPI. If you don't have a scanner, send me the print and we will scan it for you. (Mail photo to Kerry Blue Terrier Foundation, P. O. Box 1495, Solvang, CA 93464, USA).

We reserve the right to edit the size of the image and the text to fit the web page.

Prizes

  • First prize: a set of Christmas cards made from your winning submission, AND
    a copy of "Scared Poopless-The Straight Scoop on Dog Care", signed by the authors: Chiclet T. Dog and Jan Rasmussen.
  • Second prize: A Kerry toy, donated by Janet Hopkins AND a KBTF logo mug donated by Emily Lux
  • Third prize: A black and gray baret crocheted by Chelo Lewter AND a Hungry Kerry dog food bowl donated by Emily Lux
  • Fourth prize: A black and gray scarf knitted by Chelo Lewter

 

You be the Judge:

Between December 20 and 25 everyone will be able to vote for the best card. We'll announce the winner on December 26. Vote by number only please: select FIRST, SECOND and THIRD place. Your first place selection will receive 3 points, second place will receive 2 points and third place will receive 1 point. The card with the most points by December 25th 10 PM is the winner.

Anybody can vote once.

  • look at all the cards before you vote,
  • select the best card,
  • don't try to "stuff" the voting box - it has never worked,
  • submit your top three choices

Claiming Prizes

You will be notified of your win by e-mail. Prizes will be mailed to you directly from the sponsor. If you do not receive your prize by February 1, 2009, please contact John Van den Bergh (johnv@kerryblues.info).

 

Submissions will be posted starting on November 28.

Winners will be posted December 26.
