is bringing lots of joy to this home.
Thank you for all your help and kindness.

Hi Peggy this is Chloe Kelly I'm using my grandpa's email. Duffy is
doing great and taking up all the space in my bed. But also I wrote our
story about how we got Duffy and here it is:

My story is about my dog Duffy his real name is "Blue Devil",
he is a 3 1/2 year old Kerry Blue Terrier who came from a puppy mill in
Missouri and he was filthy, he wasn't healthy and he never walked on grass
or played with a ball or bone. He was sort of my birthday present. When
I saw him at the airport it was sad too sad to even look. Now my dog has
been with me for about 6, 7 weeks and now he is in my bed taking all the
space up. But there are 2 other things about him he loves the grass he could
lay down for hours and hours also he still doesn't know how to play with
anything. I thank the lady who gave me my puppy. Her name is Peggy Turner
she has a bunch of Kerry Blue Terriers. I'm lucky the way my dog turned
out that was the best 11th birthday ever.

Duffy is doing great and really coming around, healthy, gained about 7 pounds.
Still frightened of many things and loud noises. About a 1 1/2 months
ago he started walking up the stairs to the bedroom where Chloe and my wife
are, about 13 steps, but wouldn't walk down, just started walking
down last week. Now he sleeps with them, eats in the room and as soon as
we come in the house from walking him he runs right up stairs to my wife
and jumps up on the bed to be near her. When I see him laying there all
I can think of is that he deserves it.
Think of rag doll monkey...that's how he looks with Chloe, she can put him
in any position and he'll stay that way, He sleeps between Chloe and my
wife on his back , 4 legs up in air. Whenever he sees Chloe, the head goes
up, the ears perk up, the tail goes up and he starts barking with
the tail spinning in a circle, he loves her so much. He is still afraid
of me but getting much better, when I walk in room he jumps up and starts
barking with he tail wagging, the he lays perfectly quite while I clean
his eyes, almost thankful. We love him and you were right, he is the one
of the best dogs I've ever known.
Last Sunday seven of our little grandchildren were here, they were petting
him, holding him and kissing him, he loved it. He is just starting to play
with some of the toys Chloe has given him. I haven't seen him do it yet
but my wife tells he plays a little bit each night. During the day when
Chloe was at school he would lay around as if he were sad or mad, when she
comes home he comes alive.
