Advice for Prospective Buyers

Before a potential puppy buyer select a breeder, they need to understand the Kerry Blue temperament, grooming, and training requirements.

Many of the dogs listed were returned to the breeder, are retired champions or require a special homes. Please investigate all the circumstances and reasons why the dog is listed here.

You may also want to consider the available rescue dogs. Rescue dogs are placed through Kerry rescue organizations, while the dogs listed on this page are being placed by individual owners or breeders.

Kayla needs a home, she is 4.5 years old, house and crate trained, rings bell to go outside. She has basic obedience training and responds well to men. She is a retired show dog and would make a great walking or jogging companion. She can walk a fast paced five miles without slowing down. She has a strong prey drive and will stick her head down ANY hole, no fear. She needs to be an only dog or with a larger male dog. She was raised with a house cat, but would need to be properly introduced to a new cat. She behaves well with older children, but has never lived with any. She can be a barker, will alert you of the trash pickup, mail delivery, neighbors home from work, turtles in the yard. She is a groomer’s dream, she is great on the table and in the tub. She is not a big fan of the blow dryer, but tolerates it. Pictures of Kayla on request, would be great to have her place by March 10th.
