Bubble Gum RemovalCopyright © 2003 Kerry Blue Terrier Foundation What will work (if anything will) is any sort of non-toxic oil, e.g., canola oil, olive oil, Wesson oil. There's nothing else in either peanut butter or 'dairy' butter that would help much. Don't use paint thinner, motor oil, etc.! Judicious trimming is probably the surest solution. You might try hardening the gum with an ice cube before cutting it out. Robert Paul, robert.paul@reed.edu
Bridget Greer, GreerBri@HAMCIVHOS.ON.CA Use either a cream rinse (undiluted) or a detangler, and pour it on. Give it a few minutes to soak in. Then it should be easier to "slide" the gum off the hair and pads. A borrowed breeder's tip. One day I was sitting on a bench with Jazz outside our local market waiting for JohnV. A shopper walked by and stared at Jazz. Another admirer, I thought. Then she looked at me and smiled, "I see your dog likes bubble gum!" I then became aware that Jazz had a whole wad of the stuff in her mouth, chewing away! Janet Joers, jjoers@IMPULSE.NET
