Inishmore's Fey Mollie
This is Inishmore's Fey Mollie leading the St. Patrick's Day parade on
Kalakaua 3/17/1974. While Mollie was leading the parade, her daddy Ch. Townsend's
Danny Boy was taking BIS honors at the Hawai`ian Kennel Club show that same
day. The show was the reason Mollie was the only Kerry in the parade but
she did us proud by walking the distance and taking the lead. Further back
were several setters and wolf hounds, riding in trucks!!

A Leprechaun Coiffure
by Barb Thompson
(The dog, the trim, the picture and the article!)
Shannon, aka
Bangors Faux Paw CD CGC was entered in a creative grooming competition at
the Sportsman's Show in Toronto Canada in 1996.
Dressed as a Leprechaun she was dyed with food colouring and green hair
spray. A waistband-belt was cut in then blackened with chalk, she wore shiny
black boots with big brass buckles, a St. Paddys hat, bow-tie and carried
a large green pipe (she does not encourage Kerries to smoke) a little background
music (an Irish jig) and her owner , Barb J Thompson, dressed to match.
Shannon came in second. She was quite humiliated to have lost to a bichon
dressed as the Easter bunny. She almost looked cute enough to eat!!. (And
Shannon tried.)
When she got home a good bath washed out the colour and a quick shave with
a 7-blade lost the waist-band. Good thing warm weather was coming.
