Have you made arrangements to place your Kerries upon your death? If you plan to leave your Kerry to the Foundation for placement, you are not alone.

The Foundation is far more experienced in placing Kerries than anyone. We place more Kerries in one year that most breeders in a lifetime. Plus, we have the contacts and tools to do it right. We also have a nice endowment, which assures you that the Foundation will be around for a long time.

Here are some important points to include in your will:

  • Don't name your current Kerry by name, but say "all Kerry Blue Terriers" are to be given to the Foundation.
  • Include the address of the Foundation: P. 0. Box 1495, Solvang, CA 93464 and phone number: 800/532-2890
  • Make sure all health records of your Kerry are available to the trustee for transfer to the Foundation.
  • Let us know what you have done and send us any special instructions we should keep on file.

We ask that a bequest be made to the Foundation to cover the costs of placing your Kerry (health care, transportation, temperament is testing, foster care, and possible rehabilitation), and to continue the Foundation's work. In the past, this bequest, at the time of the transfer of ownership, has ranged from $1,000 to in $12,000.
