Litter Policy for Breeders
The pupose of this policy is to ensure that only the most reputable of
breeders list puppies on the Foundation web site.
Breeder Requirements:
- The breeder must sign the Foundation
Code of Ethics.
- The breeder must send a copy of their
sales contract to the Foundation (mailing
address). Breeders can present their own contract of use the Foundation's
Sample Contract (.pdf).
- For each litter, the breeder must submit
the results of at least one pre-breeding test on the dam.
- A suggested donation of $30
(US or CAN) per litter (When paying by credit card, put "Litter"
in remarks section.)
The requirements apply to all breeders listing puppies on the Foundation
web site.
Litter information
Breeders should provide the following
information, in the same sequence:
Date of birth:
Picture of pups, sire or dam in .gif of .jpg format or URL of a picture
(optional)
Full name and titles of sire:
Grand-sire:
Grand-dam:
Pre-breeding health tests performed on sire (if none, state so):
Full name and titles of dam:

Pre-breeding health tests performed on dam (if none, state so)
Kennel Name:
Number of male puppies:
Number of female puppies:
Date litter will be available for purchase:
Breeder's name:
Breeder contacts:

Breeder's e-mail address and/or web site (An automatic link will be provided.)
Breeder's club affiliations:
Comments about the litter (optional)
Litters will automatically be deleted after 6 months, unless requested
otherwise.
Breeder Support
Foreign breeders who have a potential placement in the US, can use the
following services of the Foundation:
If you email an adoption questionnaire to our Louise Piche, Placement
Facilitator, she will:
- review the application.
- contact references
- arrange for home visit
- make a placement recommendation
